Matt Thornton

Matt Thornton is the CEO and Co-Founder of SoHi Wealth Management, where he works alongside his wife and business partner, Heidi. A fourth-generation Army veteran, Matt brings more than 25 years of leadership, business development, and financial-services experience to his work with individuals, families, and business owners.

His approach was shaped by a career spanning telecommunications and real estate, where he saw how quickly market downturns and unexpected events can affect years of hard work. After witnessing a family left financially unprepared following the loss of a loved one, Matt committed himself to helping others plan ahead.

Today, Matt helps clients build thoughtful retirement strategies focused on income, preservation, and lasting financial security. Education, transparency, and genuine care are central to his process, helping clients make informed decisions, protect what matters most, and move toward retirement with greater confidence.

Heidi Thornton

Heidi Thornton

Heidi Thornton’s journey is one of resilience, service, and determination. At 26, after her father—a proud Green Beret—passed away, she put her career on hold to raise her two younger brothers, then 14 and 16. She often says she “raised a Marine,” after her youngest brother went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps. Later, after surviving a traumatic home invasion in Phoenix, Heidi moved to Las Vegas and rebuilt her life with purpose, carrying forward the strength and compassion shaped by her military family.

Heidi has spent more than 25 years as an entrepreneur, successfully building and running two businesses. She understands the dedication, leadership, and perseverance required to create something lasting, and brings that same drive to every client relationship. Connecting with people, understanding their needs, and finding meaningful solutions have always been at the heart of her work.

As a financial advisor, Heidi has spent the past 11 years helping families navigate retirement planning, Medicare, and life insurance with clarity and confidence. Her personal experiences have given her a deep understanding of the importance of security and preparation, which she now passes on to her clients.
